A Wish in a Letter (My Husband, Part 2)

Years passed. I hadn't thought of 'Sage' again. After all, he was still older than me and I was still a kid in highschool.

I had a few dates here and there during highschool; mostly with my brother's friends. Duds...all duds. I prayed for God to please bring someone to my life. I felt like I was the only girl in school that didn't have a boyfriend. At times, I felt very lonely and I began to wonder if something was wrong with me! Perhaps it was a way for God to focus me on HIM and not on the human 'hims'.

After a youth group meeting one night, I remember it was mentioned that we should write a letter to God. I wrote down the desires of my heart for a future husband.

I mentioned wanting someone who loved God, possibly someone who would serve in the ministry or with youth. I asked God for a hard worker. Someone who would be loyal and true to me. I even described that I wanted someone with blue eyes, light brown hair and a mustache. Just for kicks, I even said I wanted someone tall, 6' 2" to be exact. Yes, I was that specific, though I really had no one in mind that fit this description.

Time continued to pass. My life still lacking that special someone...

(Well, you know I found that special someone but you won't believe what I went through to get him. Tune in everyday this week. You are going to be quite amused!)
