Stitching Photos

I've been in a stitching slump like many of you. I was working on a project that I lost momentum working on so I pulled out a quick stitch. This is 'Autumn Walk' by Bent Creek and it's part of a series. The stitching is now completed but I'll take a new pic when I frame or finish it.

There are now leaves on the trees and there is supposed to be a pumpkin on the road sign/arrow.  The boy was supposed to have brown hair but I changed it to orange. I've since, changed it to a better shade. You'll also see I've added a dog instead of a little girl. (Don't laugh if the dog is strangely shaped...I don't do well 'eye balling' things. LOL) I like tweaking things from the original pattern sometimes. :)

By the end of the day, today, I will finish my Quaker cat stitch. Her tail is a little farther away from her body than it's supposed to be but I've decided to leave it instead of rip it and restitch.

Now comes the hard part for me...how to finish these projects. Suggestions? Frame, pillow, other?

Lovely projects. The cat is gorgeous. If it were up to me, I would make a pillow of that.

HEY! Thanks for popping by my blog. And I'm sooo happy that I've now found you :)

Love Autumn Walk, especially the colours of the leaves on the tree!

Happy Stitching!

Paint an embroidery hoop a coordinating color and use them for wall hangings

I love adding in dogs to patterns.:) That is a really cool looking Quaker cat.

At first I thought the sign was the dog, LOL. You threw me when you said the dog looked strange.

Congrats on your finish, and soon-to-be finish.

I would say you do a fine job eyeballing things. Both look great! I would finish the kitty as a pillow. Its a bigger design. ;)

Glad to see you back to blogging.

I hope that you come up with some wonderful finishing for these.

The cat if very colorful. Is that variegated or just constant color changes?

I think the dog looks fine. Very cute, in fact. Good job :) The cat sure is colourful. Hmm... I think the cat would work great as a flatfold and Autumn Walk as a pinpillow?

Hugs,
Veronica.

I glad you started working your way out of your stitching slump. I think we all go through them at times.

Parsley,

Your stitching projects are beautiful. I like that you altered the first by adding a dog. One day I will have to attempt a counted cross stitch project.

I admire stitchers! Wish I could do it. People tell me they find it relaxing. It just makes me cross-eyed and crabby!

Great projects. The Quaker Cat piece is just stunning. I love the thread you chose. It would look really nice as a pillow.
