Crying at Weddings

I went to a wedding today and it was beautiful. Not beautiful because of the decor but because of the love the couple had for each other, their family, and God.

My eyes filled with tears. At the moment a couple promises before God to commit their lives to each other and to Him, love pours out of them and over each soul there.

It's a pure, over-flowing love that is not often seen in our day to day lives. It's like a cool drink on a hot summer day, so fresh and wonderful. I think we cry at weddings because the love is so real...especially when you feel God's spirit in the middle of it.

Do you cry at weddings?

I am seldom given to tears but I totally identify with all the
emotions you mention. is there anything more beautiful
and moving than sincere love?!

I cry more at weddings than I do at funerals where I get all choked up and can't cry.

of course I cry at weddings; I cry at weddings on TV :)

wishing the couple much happiness in the days ahead but it seems like they are rooted in faith and God and that is a very good start to their marriage!

Since having children...I think my hormones have totally taken a turn for the wetter. I find myself reacting to all kinds of situations that I normally didn't find any emotion with emotions I never thought I possessed. But since realizing this curse...I have tempered this affliction (LOL XP) the best I can. (carrying tissues in my purse where ever I go helps too LOL)

All the time! I even cry during the wedding scene in The Sound of Music - every time! I cried at my own wedding, too!! :-)

I cry for every single reason, good or bad news, films, songs, feelings, and of course it's impossible for me not crying at weddings!

I have no idea. Apart from my brother's wedding I was a child with every wedding I've been to other than my own, and at my brother's wedding I had several painkillers in my system since I'd had my eye out 2 weeks before and didn't want the pain to give me issues for the day so took painkillers (even though I hadn't had much pain after the first few days). So I couldn't tell you since I hardly remember it.

Parsley,
Seems I am in the minority, I don't cry at weddings {perhaps if I were paying for ones I've attended -- hehehe} Seriously, I have experienced all you describe above at the birth of a baby.

I'm another that cries at everything, so why should weddings be an exception?

Have a wonderful week!
