Parsley, Sage, Rosemary and Thyme.....

My sweet little gerbil Blossom died suddenly this last weekend. It was such a shock! Seeing the cage empty was a reminder of how much we enjoyed her company and how much we missed her entertaining antics.

So...Parsley (me) and Sage (my husband) adopted two little girls, one for each of us. Meet Rosemary (gray with pink eyes) and Thyme (black).

Update: Little Rosemary died a few days after her arrival. She wasn't sick..she just got tired and crossed the bridge.  Thyme (the black one) is still thriving, happy and healthy. I'm grateful for her.

I'm sorry to hear about Blossom! I love the new additions to your family! So cute! We had a hamster that died a few years ago and it's funny how much I still miss that furry little creature.

You need to give your DD a herbal name. Rosemary? Basil? Eh, it doesn't go with your names I don't think. Parsley and Sage had a daughter and they named her... Saffron?

It's always sad when you lose a pet, even a little rodent.

Welcome to the family Rosemary and Thyme.

Are they in seporate cages? If not, then I hope for your sake they were correctly sexed (gerbils, hamsters and such often aren't... My male guinea pig, for example, turned out to be a female. And the smaller rodents are harder still!)

Sorry for the loss of Blossom! Your two new cuties are real sweet! We had many hamsters throughout the years. One, Cocoa was a special friend to our daughter Rebekah. She would sit on her shoulder and watch cartoons with her! She passed away suddenly too! It was something none of us ever got over! :(
