Sunday Thoughts: Broken Treasures
Do you shop at second hand stores or thrift shops? I don't have many places to do that in my area but I love seeing the finds that bloggers bring home.
Sometimes the items people find are dirty, chipped, broken, but the buyer sees these items as treasures. They dust them off, glue together the pieces, and display the treasures that others didn't want. The broken vessels tell a story.
God sees us as treasures. Sometimes we are dirty and broken but he sees real beauty and potential inside us. We don't have to 'fix ourselves', we just have to let him take us and make us into the beautiful pieces he sees.
Our brokenness and reconstruction tells a story. I don't really understand why bad thing happen to good people BUT I do know God never leaves us, and IN and THROUGH our circumstances, he can turn our brokenness into something that can help other broken vessels.
God loves you...he ALWAYS has...he ALWAYS will.

Best wishes Molly
Lovely post! Have a gret Sunday!
I totally agree with you how God can use our brokenness that can help other broken vessels. And I think that is why he allows bad things to happen to us, so we can be a vessel to help others learn about him, those that might not have known him unless we had that brokenness ourselves.
may Sunday be a good one

Wonderful post, my dear! Well, said! And, I agree totally with you as well, Betty. We have been talking about suffering in devotions in my fifth grade class. It is hard when you are in the midst of it, but a joy when He sometimes allows you to see His reasoning and use. Sometimes we don't, and we have to have faith and joy in being used, even if we don't know how... Not always an easy thing. But, having blog friends like you all to encourage and teach- God sure does use that!!!!
Blessings!!!!

Your words are so worthy! It is true, one mans trash is another mans treasure and so often people feel unloved and think they have no worth! s Christians we know better. God loves all. Sometime it is very hard for me to comprehend that! Very thoughtful post!
