Rather than give a traditional run-down of our Thanksgiving, I thought it would be funny to recall snippets of conversations we had yesterday. Out of context, it's pretty funny.
"The turkey smelled like feet. I didn't eat it, so I wouldn't repeat it."
"Oh look guys...Satan came over for Thanksgiving!"
"Want some 'apple pie'? (Shows me a mason jar full of yellow liquid.) It's apple beer!" My response? "Looks like urine."
"What's the difference between a red-neck and a hillbilly?"
"See her shaking her booty?"
"Fine, take the picture but don't put the picture on facebook!"
"Did you spit in the pie?"
Strange how different we are in my family. It makes for an interesting gathering for sure. We are all a little dysfunctional, I guess. At least we are who we are around each other and don't have to put on a facade. I don't like 'wolves in sheep's clothing'.
Enjoy your weekend full of leftovers, shopping, and napping.

So did you spit in the pie??? Glad you had a good one!
Hope you had a great day yesterday. Have a fabulous Friday.
Best wishes Molly
I love all your dysfunctional-ness. It makes me love you all the more!!! :) You're an oddball, and Oddballs have a special place in my heart, you know.
Hmmm... My grandmother lived in W Va but north of the Mason Dixon line, so we used to tell the difference between hillbillies and Mountain Williams. The two I remember (all these many years later, haha) are that one mops from the sink while the other works from from a bucket, and one has a bath while the other has a path (outhouse reference, for those who aren't familiar with such things!).
Sounds like you had a great day!
Love those snippets! I think every family has their fair share of dysfunction ;)
We drank our homemade hard cider last night, and my husband said not only did it look like pee it tasted like it too LOL!!!!
Thats what makes a great family..LOL, what ever floats your boat......great snippets.....Enjoy the weekend, Blessings Francine.
