Howdy friends! I have some crafting finished but pictures have to come later since they are gifts. :-)
We had some fires this weekend. I'm a newby but I drove a brush truck while the chief directed and sprayed a fire-line. I drove the truck THROUGH the fire to get to the already burned side. I couldn't see in front of me with all the smoke.
Talk about a leap of faith! There could have been a big hole, a pond, another truck...anything on that other side, not to mention the flames!
I also got to try out a 1-1/2 line from the engine while supported by the guys. The water pressure is so powerful I would have fallen on my bottom if not for the support of the team.
All this made me reflect on deeper things: Where do we put our trust? Why? Also, I was reminded that we aren't meant to do life alone. We need to learn from people who have 'been there, done that' as well as have a support system we can trust.
Psalm 31:14. But as for me, I trust in You, O Lord; I say, "You are my God."

Gosh you are one brave woman Parsley. Nice one. Have a terrific Tuesday.
Best wishes Molly
If the fire wasn't threatening life - I don't think I would drive through it blindly.
I've held a fire hose a time or two - they can really shove you around!
Be safe.
Wow! You are a brave woman! =)
So glad you were kept safe during the firefighting. Team support is so vital and it's good that you have a great team.
Last Friday a friend of mine who is a firefighter got called to fire while we were staying at his house. We got to ride along with his girlfriend and witness him do his job. I always had respect for firefighters but watching them up close was absolutely breathtaking. What a job. You are so much more brave than me.
You are a hero! And yes, things like this do serve to make us ponder deeper issues. Trust. Where do we place it? I trust the Lord indeed, but so often I find it so very hard to let go of the things that trouble me. Thankfully, He does provide us with the community of other believers.
The Body of Christ stands strong.
GOD BLESS!
You are very brave, well done.
WhooHOO! that's awesome! Thank you for your service to mankind. It takes those to serve and be in service of others to make the world go 'round in one way or another. Sadly, in my opinion, many in our society have forgotten that. And you are so right, experience for others is important too. Respect, you've got it! :)
I know who you believe and trust in, and me too!
Hi friend! Gosh it has been a while since I have made my blog rounds! This was so thoughtful listening to you today. A beautiful analogy. I love your verse you shared and you were certainly very brave. I am always praying and thinking about you and yours. Have a beautiful week.
