Tea with My Fellow Trekkies
I had such a fun time tonight with my daughter and her close friend! We had hot tea, sugar cookies, and watched the old original Star Trek for several hours.
I was squealing like a fan-girl over the expressions and interaction between Kirk, Spock, and Dr. McCoy. Okay...so now you know...I'm a Trekkie. I have always had a battle in my mind as to who I like more of the three characters mentioned above. The original series is my favorite but I like Next Generation too.
Are you a Trekkie? If so, what are your favorite episodes, captains, and characters.

I did, indeed, love Star Trek, and have seen all the original episodes. I also loved the Next Generation with Patrick Stewart. About an hour and a half away from us is the Church Of Spock, really. It is a lovely building and I have seen pictures and I read their creed!
Only those three? Well then it must be Spock. But I also loved Scottie and Bones. And of all the captains, my favorite will always be Picard.
Why are there no stitching patterns of the Enterprise?
LOL I'm in the middle of watch Enterprise right now on Netflix! I just got done with Deep Space Nine and Voyager. You are not alone in your Trekkieness!
Sounds like a fun night!
Holy Toledo! A Church Of Spock?! Yikes! I am a Star Wars fan!! ;)
I am not a Trekkie but I have friends who are. does that count?
Sounds like you all had fun!
OMGoodness, YOU are a trekkie?!!! NO WAY! I would NEVER have thought that about you, truly!!
I liked the next generation, and would watch that regularly when it was on. But I wouldn't say I was a trekkie. I am a Big Bang Theorist, though. And the guys on that show are trekkies. They even speak Klingson. Does that count? :)
I used to watch Star Trek all the time growing up. My dad always watched it and of course in those days a house only had one t.v. LOL.
I'm glad you enjoyed the evening with the girls.
Hi Parsley
Siounds like a great night!
I like Spock the best in the original series and by Data and Spot in Next Generation.
Hi Parsley.
No, I'm not a Trekkie, although I've seen episodes of the original series and know the main characters.
Now, ask me about Mad Men and Don Draper. :)

Fully fledged trekkie household here Parsley. DH and son went to a few Conventions here in Scotland in the 90's and met quite a lot of the stars.
Voyager and Deep Space Nine were my favourites. Live Long & Prosper!
I would no consider myself a Trekkie but my hubby owns the original series and all of the movies. He is also a Next Generation fan so I have seen all of these several times. I embroider or cross stitch while we watch them together.
I am not a Trekkie. I am a Trekker. I watched the last seasons of Next Gen and all of Voyager and Enteprise (kinda skipped DS9). I love Janeway. My husband loves the original series so I will watch that with him occasionally but I don't have much opportunity to watch Trek much anymore. We went to see the new movie for Mother's Day at my request. I have a stuffed Q bear, a Tribble and my picture in the captain's chair from Star Trek the Experience. My stepson also got me a game called Redshirts a few weeks back (it was on my blog). I also want the plush Enterprise off ThinkGeek but it's been sold out forever.
When Trek left the air, I kinda wandered and picked up Stargate and Farscape and BSG.
Hi Parsley,
I love Star Trek in all of its variations, including the newest movie. Spock was my all-time favorite character, but I had a soft spot in my heart for Uhura too! I was very little (under 3)when Star Trek originally ran, but I remember watching it in reruns. One of my favorite episodes was the episode with Joan Collins where they traveled back in time. I also liked the Tribble one. Most of all, I enjoyed seeing the interplay between Kirk, Spock, and McCoy. They had real chemistry!

I'm somewhere in the middle; I'm not a Trekkie as such, but I do enjoy the show. Voyager is my favourite series, with Captain Janeway.
Glad you had fun.
OK so who is your favorite character?
My friend Sharon is a trekkie! Her hair is perfectly coiffed and her nails are perfectly manicured! Ha Ha! She is a total dork! I LOVE it that I know two of you now! HeeHee! I love all the oldies like Star Trek and Star Wars! The new stuff just isn't as cool.
