Miscellany Monday

Happy Monday. I just wanted to share some random thoughts since my mind is out of focus.

DOGS:  These fur babies haven't played since Rosie's passing BUT today is a new day and there was some 'warrior puppy' activity this morning. It heals the heart to see them finding a happy place again. This pic was snapped in between the ear pulling and face nomming. ;-)

WORD VERIFY:  I've seen many complaining about word verification on blogs. I am going to join this soap box. The words are blurred, smushed together, and difficult to read even with glasses. Please consider turning word verify OFF and moderate comments if you fear spam. Works for me!

POLITICS:  Recently, I have told some friends who say they 'hate politics' that it is a necessary evil. It is not pleasant to be involved in debate (unless you thrive on that type of thing) but if we don't investigate the candidates and policies and learn how things affect us, we will be apathetic, or worse, ignorant. Don't vote? Don't complain when policies affect you negatively. I know who I am voting for and why. You should too.

PROUD MOMMA:  So proud of my daughter. She finished her first full week of technical school last week. She's already accomplished more than some adults...she got her driver's license AND she has a goal.

STITCHING: I'm in trouble. My husband told me I should have shopped instead of just wished at 123stitch. HAHA. You see, I just feel like I don't 'deserve' anything new since I haven't finished my fall patterns (seen in the post below). We will see what happens.

Well, that emptied my mind. My heart feels full of God's blessings and I'm ready to face today...one moment at a time.

Hi Parsley, love the picture of the furbabies, what a face on the big dog. Ya, I agree, that word verification really gets my goat up, come on.Great for your daughter, you should be proud. As for the stitching, carry on. Blessings Francine.

My mom spends hours on here trying to prove she is not a robot....even with her glasses on she can't see the numbers...we turned ours off "we think" let us know if it is still on.
I bet you are so proud of your daughter..mom has three daughters and with each leap they made through life it has made her heart sing!
Have a great day!

I agree on the word verification. Why do they have to be blurry and smushed together?? I have sometimes tried 3 times. I turned my off a year ago and nothing terrible happened.

Finishing and buying new stuff are in no way related LOL they're seperate hobbies!

Don't you know, shopping and stitching are two completely separate things to do? LOL you're blessed, my friend. HUGS!

Guess I am lucky..I have never used word verification and I do not have problems. I do not moderate either. The only problem I am having is that my comments left sometimes have a little black box instead of my picture!
Wonderful for your daughter.

Good to hear the pups are starting to return to normal. One small step at a time. Now, about this 'not deserving' thing...my dear, you take care of your home, family, the pups, and everything else -- you deserve anything you wish! Now, get out there and buy something and help the economy!

It is always good to clear one's mind of the clutter!!

So sorry to read of Rosie's passing...but what wonderful memories you have to sustain you until you can be with her again...much love and hugs!

I am glad the dogs are doing better since Rosie isn't with them anymore.

Seems like my mind is always filled with some kind of clutter.

Morning Friend
You and your family are still in my thoughts and prayers.
I know this will be a long healing process for the whole fam. Even furry kids.
It took my lil Toy Fox terrier a long time just to go outside by herself.
Anyway I was thinking of you lastnight and wanted to send you a giant hug.
Blessings
Trace

:) "Face Nomming"

Perhaps we should be required to name the "current office holder" (and spell their names correctly) before we can vote for the office in question? If no one can name them - perhaps the office isn't too terribly important or needed and they should just close it up?

I like your post! I hate politics but I always research and do vote for the lesser of two evils or choose the third choice. I am not a party person as I worked in politics many years ago and know its evil base! We are praying about this election.
