Now, It's Personal

As most of you know, I am a 4H club leader. WHY do I volunteer? THIS is why...

Last May, one of our families, already dealing with a young daughter in kidney failure, found their young son had Leukemia. In this video the family ends up telling their story in a special way and shows our club's response. (I'm not in the video but some of our 4Hers and other 4H adults are.)

The 4H club collects loose change and pop can tabs to donate to the Ronald McDonald House and OK Children's Hospital. Our friends have directly benefited from the Ronald McDonald House. We want to give back. Now we see a need. Now it's personal. If you can donate to the Ronald McDonald House, please do so today.

As a group, we can do more. We can make a difference. I'm proud to be a part of the 4H group and something so wonderful.

*Hugs*

Thoughts and prayers for this tormented family. I have a bunch of loose change. I can take it to the bank and have it counted on their machine and send you the proceeds to give with the 4-H's fund.

Every time I see a Ronald McDonald collection box, I empty my pockets of whatever change I may have. Yet it is still not enough :(

I was in 4H when I was a girl Parsley, really enjoyed it. I have been donating my change (and more) at McDonalds to their Ronald McDonald charity for over 20 yrs (and believe me I've made lots of trips to McD's!!). My college roommate had a niece with spina bifida who sadly passed away at age 11. The Ronald McDonald house did so much for her parents who had to travel to larger cities for treatments and surgeries. They are a great organization that does a lot of good for these families in need.

Do you want me to send you my change after I turn it into a check or money order? We recycle our soda and beer cans so if you need me to pull off the tabs I can do it! My heart breaks for the family. One illness with a child is heartbreaking and two devastating. Although today many advances have been made in the field of Leukimia. My heart and prayers are with this family. I donate my change at my McDonalds so I will continue to do it! Thank you for sharing this beautiful heartfelt video! Hugs and Blessings, Anne

P.S. e mail me please! :)
