It's Monday morning and I'm already behind. I started to list a few chores and it just depressed me. I think by mid-day I'll be wishing for a nap with April. Here she is on my bed taking a deep, relaxing nap. She's 15 pounds of puppy love and is now 8-9 months old.
I'm stitching a small project but can't show the work. It's on VERY small count fabric and I'm having trouble with a half stitch. It just doesn't lay right. I thought I was off a thread so I ripped and re-stitched. It still looks odd. Maybe it's my eyes failing me.
Do you stitch the long and then the half or vice versa?
P.S. THANK YOU to all who follow this blog. I see some new friends here and it thrills my socks off. If I don't follow you back, comment and I'll fix that problem.

What a happy pup April is...a sweetie pie!
As for your WIP, if it's really small (smaller than a 32) or a 1x1, I just don't do any half stitches and work it into all full crosses, but that's just me. I find that there are some charts that look fine with a 1/2 stitch on paper but just don't work so well on fabric, and I monkey it to avoid driving myself nuts, see I BTDT LOL.
Have a great day!

aww sweettttttttttttt
h,mnnn sometime i stitch whole day long and sometime i just put few stitches and then i have to leave it..
hugs xx
April napping is so cute. Have a great Monday.
Best wishes Molly
I stitch the half first and then the long. But if there's going to be back-stitching over it to, I cheat and only stitch the half, leaving the long off. What a sweet picture of April...
April is adorable.
I don't stitch so I don't have an answer for you.
April is already bigger than Freddy and Buddy! Both weight 10 lbs. Those tiny stitches scare me. I can't do it. I'm a very rudimentary stitcher. LIke connecting the dots kind of stitcher ;-)
April is so cute.
My mom is not a fan of mondays either...she wishes she could just stay in bed with us and rest after her busy weekend...april is very pretty! she is bigger than us...i bet she takes up alot of room in your bed..mom says she sleeps on the very edge when the three of us sleep with her....
always

Parsley,
Hope your day improves. I have wasted a good part of it in an online political debate. Where is Sage? I need backup. I think April is dreaming about her happy home.

That is one happy pup!
What a lucky girl April is...I would much rather be doing what she's doing than what I'm doing...work!
Now I'm curious who tucked thedog in? looks like my dog relaxing and having a nap any chance they can get.
just fudge it if you don't need need to do a half on the small count don't do it. no one will know but you.
Sleeping like a baby :D hehehe
That sucks that you're having one of "those" Mondays. But on the bright side, it can only go up from here!!!
I'm a cheater too, if there's back stitch the I skip the long part of the stitch & just go with the half. I think it looks neater that way.
What an absolutely adorable picture of April. You should enter in a contest.

Aw...April is having some r and r! Rose is lying next to me. She is missing Nick! Silly kitty. No crying, that is my job! LOL!
I buy lots of cute stitched and framed treasures at the thrift store. I do not have the talent. Best of luck to you with your project.
Hugs and Blessings Anne
