I live in a STRANGE town. It's full of strange people and little eccentric things that make you go hmmmm.
If you've ever watched the old episodes of the Twilight Zone you would have gotten cold chills when visiting The Curiosity Shop. It is indeed curious. Up front it has lovely candles and little ceramic villages set up for viewing. In the side room, are holiday items and (gulp) THESE beauties.
My daughter and I were feeling like something eerie was about to happen. We almost gasped out loud when a lady's voice came up behind us and asked if she could sell us an arm or a leg.
Later my daughter and I talked about how similar the store incident was to some of the old shows we watched dealing with mannequins and using parts to create a human looking robot.
Great gift idea, right? I think I'll get my daughter some! Nah...I'm just pulling your leg.

Parsley,
I suppose it doesn't seem odd to me because I shop in Manhattan and Philadelphia. "It's art." :/ {Believe me, I've seen worse.}
Actually you can look on-line (Etsy) and see many creations using mannequin and doll body parts. Beauty is in the eye of the beholder.

So true. The lady said people make lamps and tables with them!
Still..in our area it seemed 'curious'.

it is truly something strange for me..so "curious"
hahahahah that's really weird :p
Ha! I kinda like that. Do you ever watch "Oddities" on TV? Its about a shop run in New York full of that kind of strange stuff. Macabre. Its intriguing!
Weird, just weird :-/
HAHAHA!!! "pulling your leg"...HAHAHAHA...
We used to have a guy here in our town that drove around with a lady maniquin in the back of his pickup...that was pretty strange also!
Have a good one

Would they cost and arm and a leg for an arm and a leg. Very funny.
Best wishes Molly
Very strange!
Can't imagine why someone would buy one of those!
No, thank you, no arm or leg for me today. ;-)
Hello - that was funny. When my son worked as an orderly - the first thing they gave him to do was to carry a leg to the morgue!
I am your newest follower and would love you to follow mine back.

Parsley,
Remember the movie, Christmas Story? If you and your daughter didn't see it, you MUST add it to your Christmas Season movie list! Anyway, the father gets a "leg lamp",
Your Friend,
Deborah
PS. For the record, I think random body parts are macarbe.
You always make me smile, thanks.
just a little creepy....lol
Reminds me of the lamp on A Christmas Story the movie. LOL! That lamp sells on line for big bucks! Weird!
Once I saw human feet stacked up four feet (no pun intended) high at the facility next door where they do a lot of research! It was so odd and freaky!
So... it's a big cash register??
...for places that sell things that cost an arm and a leg?
