I want to warn you...DO NOT READ THIS if you are easily sickened or are eating something. If you love your McDonalds, I suggest you don't read. Are you still reading? Okay...you were warned.
After church Sunday, we drove through McDonalds. I don't really enjoy eating there but I like their fries and Mocha Frappe coffee drinks. My daughter doesn't eat meat. She's a fry gal. My husband will eat their burgers but I think he really wanted to get his sick dog, Rosie, a snack. So, we ordered.
As we are paying for our order, my daughter screamed "WHAT IS THAAAAAAT?!" Bubbling up out of the ground next to the drive thru lane was a froth and sludge that looked like sewer and grease. I won't even describe the smell.
Of course we took a picture. We are strange like that. I am one of the 'strange' people in this 'strange town' after all.
Let's just say that I won't be getting ANYTHING from McGROSS for a LONG, LONG time.
They say "Garbage in, garbage out". Hmmm. Yeah. This is the picture of that saying. Makes you double think before you eat.
Do you have a gross story YOU want to share? Do tell...we'll have the barf bags at the ready.

What you saw is not unusual - both my kids work at McD's. The sewer has backed up at least twice in the last year. The things they come home and tell me...eehhh. Needless to say, I now eat at Wendy's.
I think it might be that the fat trap backed up! sandie
ohh noooooo
Ewwwwww! We like getting small burgers from Mickey D's for my dogs. They go bananas over them.
How is Rosie doing this morning?
I did have a story to tell that was so disturbing but I realized it may not be appropriate for some people so I didn't.
Sorry I am still laughing at McGross. Have a wonderful Wednesday.
Best wishes Molly
Yet another reason why I eat my meals at home where I know what's in everything and don't have to worry about grease and sewage. Ewwwww!
My husband used to work at a waste water department (sewer company). Often restaurants will dump grease down the sewer and that's probably what happened here. Some people think that if the grease goes down ok once that they can keep on doing it but that is NOT how it works.
Oh dear, very off putting!
EWWWWW....

yucky, yuck!!
Yuck!!
I haven't eaten at a fast food place for years and now I'm glad I don't! Masterchief does like an occasional fish sandwich from McD's though.
EEewwwwwww!!!
:o(
its a monster!

ewwww!
I'm like your daughter; love my fries. McDonalds' fries aren't really anything to write home about though. To be honest I only eat there when I'm given a choice of that or Burger King (Burger King is absolutely disgusting in my opinion, and I'd eat almost anywhere rather than go there). My take-away place of choice is Subway, and failing that a bakery or small cafe. I think I'm going to keep it that way...
Parsley,
I attempted to comment yesterday, but was not able to without joining Goggle. I will try one more time. Unfortunately, I don't think Mikey Ds has a monopoly on gross. If you saw the kitchens of many restaurants, you'd never eat out again. Our village is so small we don't have any fast food restaurants, but the one in the neighboring town was closed due to "worm and slug" infestation. It was knocked down. I don't eat fast food.

I try to steer away from fast food but those places are held to higher health standards. There is a five star restaurant here and on more than one occasion they were hit with fines for not being real clean! I still chuckle over the goof ball who took a bath in the fryer at Burger King and posted the video on youtube! Why on earth would you do that???? I don't want to smell like a french fry after my bath! LOL!
Oh, my! I love your blog! All of those dogs! So wonderful and beautiful- each is different. And I agree, they are a gift from God. He created a unique bond between us and dogs. I love it that you have "one girl and seven dogs". :) LOL! I am loving the stories!
That Burger King fryer thing. I remember that. Makes you start to think about eating out at all. As far as McGross, it looks like their "secret sauce" is trying to escape. ;) Yup. Definitely GROSS. I would have taken a picture too! Isn't that why we have cameras on our phone? Hee Hee!
We have a Smorgasbord near us- a well-known one in PA. It is very clean, though. BUT, because of its size, it has its own waste water treatment plant. So when you go in the side door, and the wind is just right, well, let's just say I don't exactly feel like eating anymore. Bleck!
Never... ever... challenge an old boy scout to tell "gross stories"... LOL!!
I've been popping all over your blog this morning! I used to work at McDs in high school and I tell you, do not eat there. You really don't want to know what happens! That froth is just the beginning of it!
