Warmies!

Our clean clothing usually has wrinkles and dog hair on them.

I try to take the laundry out immediately after the dry cycle ends so I can fold the clothes before wrinkles set in. If I don't get them out right away, I sometimes re-heat the clothing a bit to take the wrinkles out of the shirts and jeans.

However, most of the time a load of laundry is taken out of the dryer, there is a mad dash by the Chihuahuas to see who gets to inspect the temperature of the clothing. (It's a cruel joke to toss down a pile of cool laundry. They act truly disgusted.)

When you have these kinds of contented faces, how can you deny them the pleasure of a 'dry laundry sauna'? Most of the time I can't, so most of the time I have a few wrinkles and dog hairs on my t-shirts.

Our family calls this pile "WARMIES"! Sure it's 90 degrees outside, but they love the feeling and smell of a warm, clean, cottony hug.

I'd say the wrinkles and a few hairs are worth it!

Love the photo! And "warmies" is such a fun name! I would not mind wrinkles and dog hairs if it brought that much happiness to my pups. :->

Haha. My dogs wouldn't be interested, but my cats would love to test the temp of your laundry pile. :-)

And yes, we have Parsley on the windowseat. lol

This post is so familiar to me. I have gone on holiday before, unpacked my beach clothes and yes, you guessed it, lots of dog hairs.
Hope you are well,
kind regards,
Shirley

awww how cute, we have assorted fur babies and the dogs don't get to the laundry, but put a basket of clean clothes any where and soon after you will find a cat all snuggled down in it. Oh well what a few cat hairs compared the love they give.

So sweet! I wonder if Ginger would like to do that.. but then I'd have to put it in the dryer on "fluff air" to get all the fur off- cause she sheds ALOT. lol

Parsley,
They are so cute it's hard to say no. I think I would was designated old towels in the laundry and toss them down when the pack of dogs charges for the 'warmies'!

Oh my gosh he looks so much like Disco! And Disco lays in the sun on 90 degree days - they can never be warm enough.

Good Morning Parsley Sweetie...
What a beautiful share this morning. I love the photo of the kiddos together. So priceless. Even as I child I loved the warm clothes from the dryer, and loved climbing in the warm basket. Memories....

Thank you for your comforting words in the loss of my beloved companion, Rasha. I still cannot believe she is gone. I went to the door this morning, expecting to see her when I opened it, only to be reminded, she is not there. No licks, and warm nose to greet me.

Many hugs and much love, Sherry

I no sheds much, so mom's tees are fine. But I just love rubbing and sleeping on my sister's clothes. She doesn't care though.
