Time Away and A Report

My family took a little time away this weekend. I won't bore you with lots and lots of details but we went to Silver Dollar City (SDC) in Branson, Missouri. Branson is known for it's country music shows and SDC. I don't do country music but we heard SDC was beautiful over the holiday season so we had to go.

We did ride a few roller coasters and I didn't throw up. ;-) My daughter and husband went on an exclusive lantern guided cave tour complete with bats and ghost stories.

The best thing of all, at night time the whole place lit up with Christmas lights. In the center of the entry was a huge Christmas tree and the lights danced and changed colors and patterns to the uplifting Christmas music.

SDC doesn't just do Christmas, it focuses on the REASON for the season. There was a parade with a nativity and even a live nativity in the park. Even their train ride stopped to hear the CHRISTmas story from a 'grandpa' near an old log cabin and lighted figures. It was so encouraging and it warmed our hearts even though our noses were cold.

We left all our dogs home for the first time under GREAT care buuut...Melody tinkled the carpet a couple of times. I knew I'd have to clean after her but I also had to move the couch and clean up vomit. Someone was probably stressed because we weren't home.

Lastly, I came back to a report of a 'conspicuous' area from my recent 'pink' exam. Yeah. Fun. So...I will call the doc tomorrow and decide how to move forward but again, I feel at peace.
