Some Early Fun

My husband let me open a present early. A 25th anniversary of Star Trek, The Next Generation ornament. Captain Picard's voice says the opening intro from the series! LOVE IT!

Of course you can't open a present without the kiddo wanting to open one so I let her have her special winter blanket early. Looks like her dog Cookie claimed it!

Questions: Do you ever open gifts a little early? Do your pets get gifts?

Ha! Our tree has Star Wars ornaments. ;)
Yes, my husband is horrible at waiting. He always wants me to open early. And we usually do. Yes, we usually get something small for Mabel. =)

Momma's family always opens one gift on Christmas Eve. When Momma was little, she said they always got pajamas for that present to wear that night. Now it's just something little.

And of COURSE we gets presents! Santa Paws loves us. He even came early this year and dropped off a big present for the kitties. I guess a whole kitty tree would be hard to cram down the chimney, so he left it in a box on our porch.

No!! I mean, I have GIVEN gifts early before, but I've never been given one to open early. We have a tradition for Xmas eve pajamas, but that's it. Everything else has to wait! And yes, our babies get toys in their stockings.

Love the Star Wars ornament. You must be a Trekkie.
Our Sammy (cat) used to get presents...He had his own stocking. He is no longer with us...sad to think of him not here.
Sending you hugs and love,
Jackie

Yes my fur boy gets presents and he understands because when we open ours he is looking through them for his and when he gets his he takes it to his bed and tears the paper off and then he brings the toy back to us to show us what he got.

Yes! Yesterday, Todd and I shopped for his Christmas gift, a new table saw. There's NO way I could have chosen one that would fit his needs without his help! When we got home, he gave me my present--a new garden wagon/cart, for hauling all my garden stuff around the yard, not to mention we can use it to haul bunnies and their paraphernalia to rabbit shows! I've been wanting one for a few years, so I'm happy! :)

We have to wait until Christmas day, but it never stops us having a look and a little squeeze, but now we purposely wrap them so it is no obvious what it is! :D

We also get a gift for our fur babies, they each have their own bauble too :)

Yes our pets get gifts and they even have stockings :) No, we wait until Christmas morning to open our gifts, in fact the boys still insist on "Santa" waiting to set the gifts under the tree until they are asleep...makes a late nite for Pa and I.

You love Star Trek too??? You rock! Did you see The Hobbit??? Was it good? Awwww...

Well, as Picard would say to "Have a Merry Christmas"- "Make it so."

Blessings and Hugs, My Sci-Fi Friend!

Ooops, I was distracted by the Enterprise...
Yes, I give my dogs Christmas gifts. I put it in a stocking and make her try to get it out.

Yes, I give gifts early because I can't wait for the person to open it. So it is open it early or I am going to squeal on what it is. I just can't help myself. I have already given Steve one- Found a set of really nice larger figures of the main Lord of the Rings characters... Gandalf is one... :)

Sorry about two posts... Beam me up. My brain is done for the night...

Parsley,
Your ornament looks fun. I actually had the intro from Star Trek {complete with music and voice} as my voice mail message. Cookie looks more like a creme puff wrapped in that blanket! We exchange some gifts on Christmas Eve. Our animals each have a stocking that gets filled.

Hee Hee! Those pets are as happy for their gifts as real human kids!

Usually, since it is usually just me and my mom and dad together on Christmas eve, we open just one gift each - usually something special that says, "I love you."

This year the "gift" was both brothers and their families were there on Christmas Eve and we all went to the candlelight church service.
