My hands were hyper and I made and sent Gaynor her Spring Exchange very early, with her permission. ;-) Wasn't sure how long it would take to get to her country but it got there quickly!
Using a tutorial from Ma Teakettle, I learned how to make my first bordered pillow. The pattern was called Spring Puddles out of a magazine but I want her to think of it as 'Dance in the Rain'. I used metallic floss for the shiny puddles and raindrops.
I also re-purposed a Robin candle holder into a little pin cushion and sent her a Spring themed Altoid tin for traveling with floss and needles.
I included some misc. items, patterns from her wish list, and some candy, including homemade chocolate covered gummy bears.
She posted about her items HERE, if you want to see her pictures.
Enjoy, Gaynor...keep 'Dancing in the Rain'.

Parsley, the pillow is so gorgeous and I love the repurposed Robin pincushion - a very clever idea. I am going to have to start thinking hard about our exchange. Have you decided? Fall or Halloween?
Parsley that is a sore point. We don't have puddles anymore just lakes. Seriously very pretty. Have a wonderful Wednesday.
Best wishes Molly

A superb parcel for Gaynor, the design on the pillow is so enchanting and cute. Great idea with the robin candle holder, very clever.
Parsley,
What a lucky woman Gaynor is! Your pillow will add a touch of whimsy to any decor. How creative to transform the robin candle holder into a pin cushion! I have no doubt she will be very pleased upon opening.
