Friendship Fun

Hello sweet friends. I went to the doctor and she said I need to see a lung specialist. The appointment was a month away however, so I have to find another route. She could have ordered some tests but thought the specialist would order just the right ones. Still struggling to breathe when I am up moving around so prayers are most appreciated.

Now...onto happy things like...Friendship!

I really believe most of us have more in common than we even know and this is what binds us together. I thought I'd share a few random facts. Let's see what else we have in common.

Things you probably already know:  I've been married to my one and only husband for 23 years. I have one daughter and currently 6 dogs. I can't have cats due to allergies but we have rats and a gerbil in the house along with a pigeon. I got started cross stitching about four years ago because of bloggers. I'm a Christian who tries to follow Jesus though I know I still make mistakes. I love hot tea ;-)

Now for random things you might not know:

I like musicals and opera. (I was a nun in 'The Sound of Music' play in highschool.)
I can sing but I get nervous, and sometimes when I'm nervous, I sing. HA!
Pizza is my favorite food (Hawaiian or Pepperoni) and icecream my favorite dessert (vanilla over chocolate).
I don't like crowds. New situations make me uncomfortable.
I prefer a hot bath over a shower.
I stay awake thinking about conversations. I rethink how conversations might have been different based on saying other things.
I have a habit of twirling things between my fingers.
I get really impatient waiting in line, in a doctor's office, or being on hold on the phone.
I sometimes laugh until I cry.
Sometimes, I do really silly things with friends (like skip in the store) and think I'm funny but then I find everyone staring at me like I lost my mind.
I change my socks often. (I don't like them damp, bunchy, or twisty.)

Well, I hope you weren't too bored. What about you? Share some things and let's see what we have in common!

You're right, we do have a lot in common. (except the singing - can't carry a tune in a bucket) And I was laughing as I read down your list and realized I was twirling my hair in my fingers :)
I hope you feel better soon and test results show nothing major.

Peeps are baths, laughing till she cries but usually more like a hyena than a human and doing silly things. Quite frankly just an all round embarrassment. We are thinking of you. Hope you can find a different route. Praying things will be OK soon.
best wishes Molly

Morning Parsley, hope everything is good with your check up when you get it, will keep you in my prayers......Well, I hate socks, love chocolate, pastry, hum all the time, don`t even realize I`m doing it, try to laugh instead of cry, but always find tears in my eyes when it comes to animals, happy or sad, pizza, oh ya, Hawaiian is my fav, when I am with my Sisters, we are always silly together, laugh all the time...Blessings Francine.

I really enjoy hearing about my blog friends, it is not as much fun commenting to an absolute stranger you know nothing about! Me too on the Hawaiian Pizza and musicals. I have been in this situation waiting a long time for a specialist, once I had to wait three months. I have found it is always better to keep the appointment. If you have not found something better by then, you may really need to go. And once you go, it is only the first time you have to wait. I hope you take advantage of a specialist, this way you will get the very best care!

OK...we're sisters!
I smile! I thought I was the last living soul whose favorite flavor of ice cream is vanilla. Yes!!
And, my middle name is impatient.
I take a bath rather than a shower...hardly ever shower unless we are on vacation and are staying in a hotel with a shower. I do prefer a nice warm bath.
I crochet and I cross stitch.
Hello, sistuh!
:)
Hugs,
Jackie

I'm so sorry to read about your breathing difficulties, Parsley... I hope you get some answers very soon. That must be difficult to wait...

Another non-crowd lover here! I'm also not good in new situations and it takes me a while to warm up to new things. And boy, do I do all of my "really good thinking" at night--not when it's the best time for me, that's for sure :)

Take good care of yourself now...

I sincerely hope you'll soon have answers from the specialist Parsley, and that the news will be good
I can't stand waiting too !
I don't love crowds either ! I'm a bit claustrophobic ...lifts, small rooms...don't like them much =)
I'm afraid of cats (they are like tigers to me !!) , but I love any pet which looks like a mouse ! rats, gerbils, hamsters...and hedgehogs, squirrels...
we have some points in common hehehe =)
take care sweetie
big hugs

I can identify with some of the things you listed, especially the reliving of the conversations, I wish I had been more assertive most of the time and not so timid.

Sennding lots of {healing hugs} I hope your apt comes through sooner and you get some answers quicker.

Did you really start stitching just 4 years ago? Or you meant, started your blog? I'm curious! hehehe

Parsley,
I will keep you in my prayers and hope that your breathing becomes less labored.
I can pilot bicycles up severe inclines with unflagging speed, and I cook Thirty-Minute Brownies in twenty minutes. I am an expert in stucco, a veteran in love, and an outlaw in Peru. I hang around people who twist their socks skipping through stores. :D
