Taking a Breather

Last week, I had lost my blogging mojo. I 'took a breather'. Posting didn't 'feel right' and frankly, I don't feel right. I did have a friend check in on me so I thought I'd touch base to say I'm still here and doing my 'thang'.

I have been struggling to catch my breath and keep my heart-rate down. I am extremely frustrated and fatigued. I gasp for breath between words. I have no idea what's wrong but this happened years ago. It's not asthma and doesn't respond to inhalers.

I fear I have many tests and bills ahead of me. Our health care insurance premiums are almost double from last year's but now our insurance does NOTHING to help our medical bills until we've met a HUGE deductible. No copays, no help with meds...nothing. That makes me want to scream and cry. As a rule, I don't plan on using my blog to complain but I'm feeling too weak to restrain myself today. Sorry.

...Switching to better things...

I'm thankful for my husband for knowing how to fix the plumbing issues we've had. What a blessing he is!

I'm thankful for my daughter. She attended a 'progressive dinner' over the weekend and showed all her true beauty. It was a dressy event. She was truly glowing and lovely WITHOUT makeup. It's her choice is to be a natural beauty. She feels completely comfortable with herself. I'm proud of her strength and confidence. (Maybe some of it will rub off on me!)

Well...that's all for now. I'm going to leave you with some stitching progress and wish you peace, love, and happiness in the week to come.

I hope you are able to have a complete checkup with your doctor ASAP.
My supplemental insurance raised over $60 a month this year. It is getting to be unbelievable,

So sorry you're not feeling well, and worrying about the expense of tests doesn't help you breathe easier, I'm sure. Hang in there. I'll be part of your prayer group.

The snow design looks really nice!

I'm sorry you aren't feeling well and I hope you get answers soon. That's too bad about your insurance. It just doesn't sound fair.
I am inspired by how you continue to remain positive when times aren't what we'd like them to be.

Forget the money and go to the doctor. Listen to him then make your own decision about how many tests you want. We met our deductible many months ago, we spent more on medical bills in the last year then we paid for our van.

Parsley, taking a breather is OK. I know how you feel, I sit down to write a post and there is just nothing there. I get frustrated because I loved to blog, but when it gets like this I still enjoy reading and trying to comment as much as my mind allows. Hang in there, praying for your health my friend♥♥ Keep in touch ok...hugs and love, Barb

Hang in there. Hope you figure out what's wrong. Unfortunately, all of our health premiums have skyrocketed along with higher deductibles. On average, they increase 12+% per year. Boo.

Stitching looks great.

So sorry to hear about the health issues Parsley! I completely understand the need to vent your frustrations - and in the end it's better and more therapeutic to get it off your chest then to keep it all bottled up! Sending lots of prayers and well wishes to you - hope you feel better very soon!

Parsley, I understand about the deductables on the insurance and all. Please just make sure it's not your heart. Women experience different symptoms. Prayers that all will pass soon though. Blessings**

I know what you mean about the medical insurance. The improvements now have more people covered with insurance but the deductibles are very high for most and people still can't afford to go to doctor. Hope you're feeling better soon.

So sorry to hear you're not feeling well. Praying that you feel better soon. Do go to the doctor. It's more important to take care of yourself.

Dear Parsley,
Obamacare and taxes are enough to make anyone sick if they aren't already. I don't want my blog to become a job so when I have nothing to share, I don't. We all need breaks from routine to restore our bodies and souls and get revived. What you describe, may well be anxiety. Relax, turn off the news and be gentle with yourself.
Your Friend,

Parsley, I don't check my blog reader on the weekends, so I totally did not see this post. I am so sorry. You must felt like I was being negligent!! :(

Have you thought about yoga? It is supposed to bring relaxation to mind and body. I wonder if that would help slow the heart down any. I know there are breathing techniques that help your heart calm down. I hope that this will settle down for you :( HUGS HUGS

Dear Parsley, oh I am so sorry to hear that you are unwell. I know that breathing problems are hell (I get asthma from hayfever and in this pollen season I can barely walk up a set of stairs). Do you think it is anxiety or panic attacks? Maybe as the previous commenter suggested you should try some relaxation techniques (apart from stitching).

Lots of hugs and good wishes from OZ,

hugs, Kaye

First time for me reading your Blog. I was touched especially by your You Tube video, God and Dog. I share your faith in God and also your love to stitch. I also thank God for the blessing of a wonderful daughter. However, I am more of a cat lover!

Parsley, I'm sorry you've not been well. I hope they can get to the bottom of this quickly, so it can be resolved and you'll feel better once again. Sounds like you have a lovely daughter. And I'm with you in being thankful for a husband who knows how to do and fix things!

I responded to your comment about my dogs on my blog - Misty has a blanket covering her at night. If she looks cold during the day, I'll put it on her then too. Bridger prefers the cold. And they are indoors with me.

Blessings on your day.

Hi Parsley, I am hoping you are feeling better. Dont worry about the money just go to the doctor or hospital. Anytime your short of breath that means something very serious could be wrong. Your life is more precious than any amount of money. I'm hoping you've already gone to the doctor but if you haven't please go. I have worked in the medical field as a nurse before I got MS. ..the symptoms you are having shouldn't be ignored. I have chronic illness and even though we make a good living medical bills can add up. We pay them as we can but we won't let that keep us fro, going to get medical help. Hope I haven't offended you. I just care.
