Flowers and Dirt!

A sweet little hummingbird moth was telling me it was time to plant my flowers.

Here's my birthday dirt! Made me think...we cannot have lovely flowers in our lives without the 'dirt'.

A few minutes later and the flowers were planted, ready for birds and bugs.

My 'grapes' finally bloomed. These are a childhood memory.

Some flowers are NOT welcome, dandelions! I normally don't use chemicals but this year I had to try SOMETHING. Well, spray didn't work, go figure, so the firefighter is trying his method...torch them!

Wishing my fellow bloggers with birthdays a great week ahead with more flowers than dirt. :-)

I've had a lovely catch up read here Parsley. There is always something that makes me take note and think about my life when I come visit with you.

Your flowerbed looks so beautiful and will give such pleasure as the seasons progress and you get the rewards of your labour in the garden.

Actually, that's a moth....

We did some landscaping today. Need to get some permission to plant some flowers (we want roses and such).

Your flower bed looks great, Parsley! Glad you got some birthday dirt! Hmmm...I haven't seen anyone torch dandelions before. Other than charred ground, do you think it worked?

Enjoy the rest of the day!

That is a beautiful moth...and I usually don't think moths are pretty. But that one is an exception!
And...I love your firefighter's idea of weedeating!! Made me smile.
Spring has sprung at your house...and it is a lovely time of the year.
Hugs,
Jackie

Your flower bed looks lovely! I love that my flowers are coming up, but won't be able to plant any this year. Hopefully they'll transplant okay. And I love your "grapes"!
