Runners

Boston Marathon Tragedy:  There are some whose first instincts are to run from trouble to save their lives and there are some that risk their lives and run toward the problem to rescue those that can't run.  At the heart of this tragedy, I see beauty in people's hearts.

We pray for the city of Boston and its people and our hearts go out to your country. We lived through the IRA in London so we know.
Best wishes Molly

I read some of the comments on the news in Yahoo and CNN, and I was struck by two things - the very one you mention - how so many people ran towards those that were injured to try to help... it wasn't a thought out thing - it was an instinctual reaction.

Later, after the race, when so many were without a place to go since the hotels were closed, there were a number of places quickly set up for the stunned runners and cheerers-on to go to, to find calm, something to eat (provided at no cost to them), wi-fi, drink, and shelter - along with compassionate "here for you" people.

I don't understand what the bombing was meant to do - it seems so senseless - and "un-targeted" - and one is left to wonder why...?

The USA's government has been involved in killing innocents by remote control (drones and missiles) and has antagonized countless many.. was this in retaliation? perhaps... I certainly don't know. But I fear for where our supposed government of the people has been heading...

The people of the USA... by and large... are as good as any in the world. They need to keep their chins up.

HUGS, Parsley. You have the openness and warmth in your big heart to be able to recognize those good things in people.

Yes, in the middle of horrible tragedy and senseless evil, something good in the hearts of men and women comes to the forefront.

I am blessed by that.

May God spread His love and peace on all those who are suffering...

GOD BLESS, Parsley.

Parsley,
And those that kept running to the hospital (a few blocks away) to donate blood. I read so many were doing this, the hospital had to turn them away.
Next year the Boston Marathon will have even more runners, volunteers and cheerleaders on the sideline.
God Bless America.
God Bless You. Thank you for another beautiful post!
Your Friend,
