Squeak and Leak

I'm giggling at the title of this post. First, here's the squeak...

While on the road to/from vacation, I took this half-done project. It is now FINISHED!  I decided it would be simpler to work with one color floss on bumpy roads. This was my first use of silk, too! Yummy, though I wish I had used two strands instead of one.

Now for the leak:

Also, while on vacation, I obtained a significant bruise caused by my daughter. As I was stepping out of a ride, she stepped on my leg, which caused my shin to bang into the side of the car.

I was able to contain my scream and after the exit door, I took a moment to rub the bump and check for blood. No blood but the painful sensation lasted for quite a while.

It's been almost a week since it happened so last night, I showed my daughter the raised bump and bruise that still remains.

She looked at it carefully and slowly drew her finger toward the bump on my leg BUT instead of gently caressing it, she pushed down HARD!

I let out a scream so sudden and so loud that I saw the dogs jump in mid-air off the couch.

I started laughing at my reaction. So did my daughter.

Tear streaming down my face from pain and giggles, I told my daughter how 'mean' she was. Our laughter began to calm. Then...between breaths of laughter she got up off the couch and said, "I think I wet myself!"

Apparently, my scream scared the tinkle out of her...and that my friends made me laugh so hard that I came dangerously close to doing the same thing myself.

MOD that is the funniest. Laughter and tears always a great combo. Sometimes my peeps is so batty her face is covered in tears as she cackles manically. Yikes they may bring over the men in white coats. Have a wonderful Wednesday.
Best wishes Molly

That stitch is so cute! And I love those hysterical giggles! My mom had a moment today. We were watching a movie called "This is 40" and it was wild and shocking for what she was used to. She started giggling hysterically after a while. Those are fun moments!

Squeek is too cute. All the silk threads I've used have been a dream to stitch with.

Sorry that you're bruise is so painful, but a good laugh is always great!
