It's been a madhouse/doghouse here with many extra dogs. Surprisingly I don't have any strange tales to tell. All went well. More are going home...more are coming.
Over the weekend, I found myself wanting to stitch and relax but every time I sat down, I had to get up again to do something with another pup. I'm tired! LOL
Here's what little progress I made on My Garden Journal's April Daisy.
What a disappointment I must be to you stitchers. I'm so slow going. Sometimes I wonder how you gals and guys create so many wonderful pieces so quickly!
Here's my question: On average, how many hours do you spend a day crafting?

So pretty

Lovely daisies and the answer to your question would be "not enough"!!!
I'm not a crafter - does it count if I'm crafty??? :)
But, my saving grace (I'm hoping) is that I ADORE DOGS! How fun it must have been to have a houseful of canines! My dream for heaven is being licked by hundreds of happy puppies!
xo
I spend a minimum of 3 hours per day on my stitching - sometimes more, but not often enough!
Lovely progress on your April month. I always feel like I'm slow going on everything. I wish I had more time to craft/make things. During the work week, no time for any crafting, maybe a quick 1/2 hour session. On a good weekend, 2-3 hours in all.
I am not a fast stitcher by any stretch.
I have just finished dog lessons for people which I started in January and that doesn't have backstitch LOL
Awesome job.
Your April Daisy design is very pretty. I try to stitch at least 6 hours a day.

glad to hear all puppies coming and going is smooth and no real grand adventures .... just been giggling at the dear labby ...lol
re crafting .. i try and get at least a couple of hours in every night and more at weekends ... but then again I don't have a house full of pooches to deal with and my DD's are independent and have their own transport soooo I can usually please myself :)
but I agree with Catherine not enough ..lol love mouse xxxxx
Yes but you have a full house and lots of pups to deal with. Have some easy time. Have a terrific Tuesday.
Best wishes Molly
It varies. Some weeks lots, some weeks I am so busy craft doesn't get a look in. Cross stitch is slow; just take it a stitch at a time and all will be well. The daisies are beautiful!
Great stitching! And my answer to that question is not enough!! lol
Morning Friend
I love the daisies.
My answer is not enough too.
Some days not at all in spring and summer.
To much mowing going on.
But WINTER alot.
Come on Fall and Winter.
Woolie JOY
Nice progress! I spend a minimum of 3 hours stitching during the week and try to squeeze more during the weekend!! Whatever I do, it's never enough :D
Morning, love the Daisy's, so pretty........Would love more fur baby's, I adore dogs, Francine.
I love your stitching! What color is the fabric? The white really pops and I think it would be great for a winter scene. To answer your question it depends on the day or week. there are weeks that i barely get a stitch in (especially if I get going on a good book) and others that I get on a roll and will stitch for hours a day. (it also depends on work lol).
Enjoy

Very pretty. I usually stitch between 8 and10pm each night.
Your daisies are charming on that pretty fabric :) I have really slowed down this year in my stitching--I try to get in two hours a day, but it depends. On my non-work days, I can sometimes squeeze in an additional two hours. I really can't sit and stitch for more than two hours at a time--don't know how some sit all day!!
You don't want to know my answer to that but I enjoy every one else's crafts!
"Slow" or not, those daisies are looking really good!
Don't be so hard on yourself... the Sistine Chapel ceiling wasn't painted in a day either..
I don't stitch at all so you are amazing to me!
Lovely! and I'm not a stitcher either. Your work looks amazing. I'd rather be kenneling dogs, but you-know-who has put his foot down about that. :-)
Oh your stitching is so gorgeous! I believe that it's not the quantity, but rather the quality of a WIP...and I am with ya on the slow stitching :)...which brings me to your question...usually I would say 2-3 hours a day in small snippits throughout the day and then in the evening while we watch TV...BUT... lately I have hardly stitched at all.
Your blog looks gorge (that's my new term for gorgeous...giggle)!
XO

Your Daisies are off to a good start, Parsley. In answer to your question, I try to get in 2-3 hours each day. Sometimes, it is less and sometimes, it is a bit more.

For me it really varies as to what is going on at the homefront. Spring and summer are busier for sure. I just set a goal for myself to try to stitch 1/2 hr a day this summer. It's not a lot but it's doable for me where I'm at in this stage of life. If I get more in - hooray.
Your daisies are looking pretty!
I used to do a lot of crafting but I have done any crafting for a long time.
Parsley, I agree with you totally. I often wonder how it's done so quick too. I wonder if I am doing something wrong! I guess I am just slow. I stitch at least an hour a day. 2 to 3 hours a day on weekends.
Your daisies are looking pretty! I try to spend at least an hour every day on my stitching - sometimes I'm lucky and have a day when I can stitch as much as I want. My problem is I have a hard time sitting still for more than a half hour at a time. :)
Your daises are beautiful. A good day for stirching for me is 3 hours. Sometimes I do more and there are days I don't stitch. Those are the bad days
You are not a disappointment to me!!! I try to get some stitchy/crafty time in every day, but there are lots of days that I don't even get 5 minutes. For me, it just depends what else is going on that determines how much time I get for stitching/crafting.
maybe slowly ... but very pretty =)
it's never a disappointment here
big hugs

Parsley,
Thank you for this post, It made me realize that I used to make art/creating a part of each day and that has changed dramatically. I need to make things that matter to me a priority.
Your Friend,
Deborah
In answer to your question...on average 3-4 hours. Now that it is summer break it can be as much as 10 hours. Depends on what my son is up to during the day!!
Your daisies look beautiful.
I try to get an hour each evening, sometimes it extends to 2 or 3 depending on what's happening. I rarely stitch in the daytime during the week, but will sometimes sit with a good movie if the weathers bad and a need to hunker down and get cosy. Gosh, hope this makes sense lol.
