We found a deer friend!

We were out early this morning taking graduation pictures. No where is my daughter more in her elements than in the country setting, near trees, creeks and nature.

As we were on the way home we decided to stop near a pond for one last picture. We parked the four wheeler and I gasped at what I saw in the grasses...

Sweet baby deer, rest. You are with friends...

We didn't touch her and quietly moved away feeling BLESSED to have seen such a treasure.

I love baby animals. We live really close to Johnson Space Center. There are so many deer in the complex. They are safe there. So we see them often. They are so sweet.

Where is her Mama though? She looks so alone!

Oh, what a little miracle! We had one born back by our pond a few years back right around this time of year... They are so adorable with those big white spots, aren't they?

Awwwwwww... I bet that re-lit the old spirit. There is grace and beauty in nature... probably why your daughter resonates there...

Parsley,
Don't you love those moments when God blesses us with such treasures. I'm so pleased it was you that discovered her and not someone who would have disturbed the fawn. The mother doe was not far.
Thank you for sharing such a special moment.
Your Friend,
Deborah
