I choose...

Today I choose to work toward a goal, not envy those that have already met theirs.

I choose to face my fears, rather than say I can't because I might mess up.

I choose to bite my tongue, rather than make another feel stupid or awkward.

I choose to have faith in things I cannot see because I have seen enough to know my faith is not void.

I choose to acknowledge that I battle bitterness but will not live in hate.

I choose to focus on how far I've come, instead of how far others need to go.

I choose not to be like others but to be like ME, an imperfect, child of God who knows she is defined, not by her past, not by her mistakes, not by other fallible people, but by who she is becoming each day as she walks with her Lord.

We are so with you. Yesterday someone we went out on a limb for was less than thankful so we just turned away without any feeling. Why be bitter? You are so right. Have a tremendous Thursday.
Best wishes Molly

Parsley,
I am saving this post. It's my favorite and I so needed to hear {read} these words. I will read them each morning after prayer and scripture.
Thank you.
Love,
