Stitching Fabrics

I was organizing my cross stitch stuff and couldn't help but pull out the fabrics I have bought this year and show you if I haven't done so already.

Lugana

Jobelan

These were dyed by Silkweavers/Needleworkers Delight. I think you should be able to read the color on the labels if you click on the pictures. These are all 32 count which works best for my eyes. All I can say every time is WOW. I really love these colors. I can't believe I am creating a stash of fabrics...FINALLY!

I did recently purchase one more fabric in a linen. I think it's pretty, but Lugana/Jobelan had a better color outcome in the same color. I will stick with Lugana/Jobelan if I ever need to order more. I think I have enough for now...or DO I? ;-)

What about you? What is your favorite fabric and where do you get yours? I've asked this before but things change and there are always new opinions/readers.

I get my linen from ebay. I use 25ct, 28ct, 30ct, 32ct, 36ct and 40ct.

Linen is too small for me to see, so I use Aida usually 16 or 18 ct. I order my fabric from Picture This Plus.

I will get my fabric at Silkweavers or Hamd-Dyed Fabrics from Stephanie. Unless I need a huge piece, than it's at 123Stitch and I will dye it myself.

Oh I forgot to say I use 28 or 32 lugana or joblean. I do use aida too bot for small pieces. Not a big fan of linen but will use it if I have it.

That Golden Promise is a gorgeous color! Which color did you get in linen, Parsley? I like 32 count in some linens (Zweigart based) as well as lugana/jobelan. I also like 28 count Monaco. I have purchased from Picture This Plus, Sassy Fabrics, Joni's Fabtastic Fabrics, and Silkweavers.

I love Lakeside Linens fabrics, usually on 36 or 40 count in the neutral tones. Their fabric is so soft and their colors are always so beautiful. If I work on an evenweave linen, it is usually Lugana or Jobelan...although Cashel is very nice too. I don't like to work on anything under 25 count...Michele tells me that I am a linen snob, LOL! Your fabbies are lovely, Parsley...I've never tried Silkweaver fabrics.

Beautiful fabric Parsley. Sure wish I could stitch on it. I only use 14ct aida. I can do a little on 16ct or 18ct. I buy from 123 Stitch.

Your fabrics are beautiful.

I'm afraid that I don't cross-stitch, so I can't offer my opinion on fabric choice. Does it count if I tell you that just in general, I love suede?!

Lovely fabrics! You may remember that I got the Silkweaver's fabric for quite a few years. Hubby thinks I have enough for a lifetime, but it still seems that I never have the right color when I need it.

Nice fabrics and colors.

I like Silkweaver, too...I also like the "Kiwi Illusions" line (I think that is CountryStitch? I'm not sure, I got mine on eBay!). Plus I have a small stash of old Sugar Maple Fabrics, from before they went out of business.
As for count, I don't use Aida much/at all. I also don't do the really high count linens...32-ct. is pretty much it for me! So I like the luganas and jobelans, too. They feel so nice, and I think they "get out of the way" of the finished stitching. I will sometimes use the Monaco/evenweave stuff that the craft chain stores sell, usually for ornaments and other small things, but it looks a little too "blocky" for my tastes with bigger projects.

Well, the truth to say I use the linen ,which I get/receive from my friends...That is why I take part in many giveaways and exchanges...In Serbia cross stitch is not popular,so there are no shops ,where I could buy linen...But I love linen any ct.Now I often use 28ct Evenweave.

I love lugana, but have a few others in my stash. Haven't bought any for a while as I am trying to use up some of the drawerful!

Oohhhh.........such petty colors! I love linen ~ Lakeside, Picture this Plus, and the Silkweavers. I also love Jobelan and Cashel. It all depends on what I am stitching ~ I love doing over one on 28 count, but prefer anything from 32-40 for over two.

Crafty Kitten and Sparklies are my "go to" places for hand-dyed fabrics.
I usually choose the 32 count Murano for picture style designs but also love higher count linens for samplers.
I use SewandSo or Willow Fabrics for my plain fabrics.
