Happy New Year! Our daughter had a friend come over for New Year's Eve and I gave them a cold six-pack....of ROOT beer. The girls giggled all night. My hubby and I went to bed before midnight. Ha!
The first day of the year was started off right..with family, friends, dogs, good food, and stitching. What about you?
My 2014 goal is to become an EMT. For stitching goals I want to finish Primitive Hare's Christmas Carol, Santa's Village, and a biggie....Quaker Christmas II, Songs of the Season.
Quaker Christmas II is what some call a B.A.P. (Big A** Project) but since I blush when telling others what B.A.P. means, I'm calling it 'Big Ambitious Project' when speaking. teehee
My lovely friend Karyn, Ma Teakettle, and I picked out different B.A.P.s when shopping together at the Silver Needle last year. Our goal is to post our progress each month to inspire and encourage each other to FINISH!
I hope you'll follow along with both of us and give us a good 'kick in the pants' when we feel overwhelmed by the enormity of our projects. How 'BIG' is mine? Here's a pic. Count the pages? Yes...I'm gonna need that encouragement. I've begun stitching it for the new year and hope to post on the 15th of each month, along with Karyn. See her project HERE.

I'll look forward to seeing your Big Awesome! Project as this is one that tempts me. I'm not really a "Quaker" stitcher, but all those Christmas carols and hymns in one place - wow!
Good luck in both your quests, Parsley! I do not have any doubts that you will succeed with both. I, for one, will be here cheering you on.

That definitely is a big project Parsley. I will look forward to seeing your progress each month.
Parsley,
HA HA! I love the six pack of root beer story!
My husband and I went to bed early for New Year's Eve. I think it was around 10:00am. It was the first time in 18 years!
I can't wait to see your progress on Quaker Christmas II. I like your version for BAP! You can do it!
Have a fantastic week!
Quaker Christmas II is going to be gorgeous! I usually stitch large projects, the good thing about them is if I get really overwhelmed, I just put them aside for a few days and stitch up a quick project so I feel like I'm accomplishing something! Happy New Year!
Wow that is some project. We had a quiet New Years. No resolutions here. We hope 2014 is kind to you and your family. Have a tremendous Thursday.
best wishes Molly
Oh Parsley! Thank you. I have been trying for years to come up with a better alternative to the BAP. THAT is great. ;)
I spent the first day of the year alone - I was so tired from 2013 I slept in a little and then took a walk. It is so brown out - and a bit icy.
I came home and took a nap.
Aren't I exciting? :)
That is one BIG BAP!!!
Go you!!!!!
Can't wait to see your progress Parsley! Happy New Year! =)
Ah!! I love the substitute "A" word!! I hope it's OK if I conscript that word for my own use. =) That is a beautiful project that is on my someday list. I am a complete nut for Christmas carols.
Oh, I love that piece--can't wait to follow along on your progress this year :)
I'm looking forward to seeing your progress each month Parsley.

Look forward to seeing your progress on Quaker Christmas II; I ordered mine on New Year's Eve. I'm thinking of switching the colors and making the song titles in red and the quaker work in green - we'll see. So glad others are taking it on too, it's a special BAP :)

Your Big Awesome :D Project is enormous!! I'll be cheering you both on to get it stitched!! Sounds like you had a great New Years and a 6 pack of root beer is the perfect way to ring it in!!
What a beautiful BAP! Have fun stitching it.
Cute, sounds like a perfect night

Lovely ambitious project! Now, get started!!!
What a lofty goal you have set for yourself. Becoming an EMT.
I say, "You GO girl!!"
I'm so proud of you.
OOOO I like your acronym better for B.A.P.! I had changed it for myself too and call it B.O.P. ... big ole project. I'll remember yours now instead.
Love your new project for the new year. Can't wait to see the progress on it!!!
The root beer was a great idea. My son wasn't feeling well so he went to bed early. I recorded the ball dropping and we watched it together the next day. So I spent the evening with my sweet hubby and our dogs. I also got online to chat with several friends.
I love BAPs. Good luck with yours!!
Parsley,
We serve Neal Michael "Boy Beer"! :)
Thomas and I went out to dinner and then popped open a bottle of champagne.
My BAP continues to be the house I live in! I will kick you in the pants to finish your stitching if you kick me in the pants to START mine!

What a beautiful piece, I love it! Looking forward to seeing your progress on it, I've started a small HAED one before I start a big one. They all look a little overwhelming!
Wow, this is definitely big! Can't wait to see your progress...
what a big project =)
I was just saying to myself yesterday 'no more big projects this year for you' =D
but I won't resist to something big if I really love =)
enjoy
can't wait to see your progress

You will love Quaker Christmas II - it is really nice to stitch.
I love this piece and will love watching you stitch it! It's on my wish list, too! :)
Looking forward to the journey of the BAP. I just know that you'll finish, and it will be a thing of beauty!
I am spending some days post-New-Year's with a certain beagle. What fun we are having. Eating and napping - sigh. It's a dog's (and his grandma's) life!!
GOD BLESS!
You have chosen a beautiful design fir your BAP, it's going to be fun watching that grow over the coming months, good luck with your plans.
Put that stitching down and write a blog post! (Yes, I am smiling!)
Just peeking in ...
