First for some stitching fun: I've painted a plain wooden trinket box and added a Halloween stitch to the top. I also painted a little wooden owl and attached it to the inside mirror and lined the drawers with glitter fabric. Pretty happy with it. I'm never sure how to finish things but this was what I came up with.
I passed my skills portion of the Advanced EMT national testing this weekend. Over the summer I became employed at a rural EMS station. I don't like 24 hours shifts away from my family but I have a lot of 'hands on' learning to do in order to be efficient as a care provider.
Oh my poor dogs...they HATE that I leave them. It's really difficult to shuffle all my different jobs and responsibilities. I've taken no shifts as a nurse aide but they keep me on the call list. Dog sitting has been as busy as ever. I actually had to decline clients last month because I needed to slow down. I felt I was near my breaking point.

I am happy to see you back. I spot check blogs I follow and after 6 months I delete inactive ones so you still had a ways to go. ;) Congrats on the EMT! I was an EMT in the navy in my younger years. It's a great job being able to help others.

My niece Kate reminds me of you, she recently got her nursing degree and although she was number one in her class she kept saying what I fail the State Boards for my licensing? Silly silly girl, proud of her working in a hospital on the surgical floor. She did it with two babies in tow and lots of love and support from the P H A M I L Y! I miss you here so please post when you can. Also please tell Barb at dogmom diva to get back into her blog. I think she underestimates us!
