I've finished copying over my and my husband's posts on our love connection. He has promised to post his final thoughts on this blog asap. I will be posting here from now on instead of at my 'blog retreat'.
Leaving here was something I felt called to do. It was a final
test of sorts and soon enough the muddied waters cleared. I saw what I
needed to see...
I really had no intentions of being 'Parsley' again but with the
encouragement of my husband and friends who missed 'Parsley' unmasked,
I'm back.

Here's a fun photo story I wanted to share.
Walking in our yard I saw a clump of Molly's fur. As I get closer I see her fur has lined a lovely little ground nest. At first it had only one egg but each day it increased until it stuck with 5 eggs. Thus, I took a photo.
We put a brick next to the nest so we wouldn't crush it by mowing. One day I saw the mother. I tried to keep my distance.
A few weeks later and we saw 4 little fuzzies! One egg didn't make it but that's nature's way.
A couple of weeks later we saw strong adult feathers growing. The day after this photo they hopped out of the nest. They still seemed so little and fragile but they knew when they were ready to fly.
God's timing is always right. Sometimes I don't feel ready to 'fly' but God gives me courage when he calls me to do something and more than once he has kept me safe in the nest when he knew I needed to wait and grow.
Isaiah 40:31
But they that wait upon the LORD shall renew their strength; they shall mount up with wings as eagles; they shall run, and not be weary; and they shall walk, and not faint.

A beautiful story to brighten my day. Thank you!
Oh, such precious birds... It's truly a miracle that they hatched and grew on the ground like that. Thanks for sharing :)
That is one of my very favorite scriptures and what a lovely story that reinforces the message...So glad you're back!!
You got to follow a baby bird's birth story!!! :) All I have right now is a hornet's nest right on my front porch, hanging from the roof. I want to get rid of it!!! But I don't dare. It's grey and clay looking.
Beautiful! I so love nature. Glad you are going to be Parsley, forever.
Have a beautiful holiday ... please pray for our troops that serve us, & those that have gone before us.

Good to see you Parsley! Love the photos of the birds, and the beautiful Bible verse too!.. God bless, and wishing you a very Happy Memorial Day Weekend! ~tina
4 out of 5 is great! And, what a lovely story! :)
Right on the ground??? Do you know what kind of bird? Most will build in trees, I find this really unusual!!! How do you account for it? Around here, the cats would get it in no time, I don't see how it stayed safe there!! A lovely bible verse to go with your story!!!
Oh, wow, I can't believe it was on the ground! What kind of birds are they? My dog would've been at'em there, nevermind the lawnmower.
So glad to see you back Parsley! Thanks for the photos and story of the birds. I love seeing this sort of thing. We have a blackbird nest in our hedge at the moment and every time I get near it the parents dive bomb me!
Parsley,
Welcome Home! What a special gift to discover the nest filled with eggs, watch them hatch and later leave the nest. We have birds that nest on the ground and some burrow into the ground. I am enjoying the daily morning and evening concerts they put on. :) I look forward to reading more of "Sage's Side". Have a wonderful Memorial Day weekend.
Your Friend,
Deborah
