My second date. It had been almost 10
years since my one and only date at 15. Friends of the family that
were missionaries were moving back to the states. They were staying
with my cousin's family for awhile and were going to the same church
I attended. I met one of the daughters and started to think maybe
there were possibilities. She met the very high standards I had set
and there was a connection through my cousins.
Well, I finally asked her out and we went to a movie (along with a cousin and his wife). Again, I was too shy to even hold hands but I thought it was a start. I would see her at church on the weekends and while hanging out with my cousins.
I was a little slow realizing it but I think deep down she knew that one of my cousins was the one God had for her, not me. We eventually had the talk that I was afraid of and any hopes I had were gone. I drove back home that weekend at one of the lowest points in my life wondering what was wrong with me and just what was God's plan for me.
I'm much better with logic than emotions so I was at a point of just saying forget it with the whole relationship stuff. This is were I was at when Parsley's story (Part 4) picks up.
Little did she know she was going to have to get through to a shy person who had basically given up and was no longer looking. Tomorrow I will conclude with how Parsley was able to break through and how I fell madly in love with her in just a few short weeks.

Even I think now: patience is a real virtue! It is very understandable that you gave up, not to mention dear parsley.lol.
mmmhmmmm how could anyone NOT fall in love with Parsley anyway?
You are a good writer, you should start your own blog!
A wonderful story. I can't wait for the next installment.
Awww... Sage! It makes me want to give you a big hug! How sad that you came so close to just giving up on love!
Also, I agree with the comment someone made above; you should start your own blog!
Everyone's dream story ...
