I'm not disabled, I'm cute

Some of my new readers may not know that I pet sit in my home. I haven't posted many pictures of my boarders but this one is super special.

Meet Penni. She and her litter were found abandoned in the summer heat with no food or water. She was limping, so her heroes took her to the vet where they found her leg had been badly injured. They had the choice to put her down or amputate. She was given a chance to live and she's loving life!

She is a ball of energy and she is nothing but ABLE, not disabled. Sure, she hops to run and looses balance but she gets right back up and presses forward.

We could learn a lot from her.

we were looking into a 3 legged poodle at a rescue....we were ready to adopt her until we discovered she is not housebroken. At 2 years old, I felt I couldn't deal with that.....too busy of a lifestyle.
Your little 3 legger is adorable!

Awwwwww...

Such a cute dog - I bet her heart is twice as big as a normal dog's already big-to-busting heart.

Penni is a little cutie...we were just a reading an article in dog fancy over the weekend about dogs with three legs and how well they do in life...mom says she learns lots and lots of things from me and my sibs...some good some not!

Parsley,
How can people be so cruel? Thank God someone who cared discovered her and got her the medical attention she needed. Thank God people in your area have a loving dog sitter to depend on when they go away. That puppy is adorable.

Aw...Penni is a fighter and a survivor. She is so precious. We had a hamster once with one ear, aptly named "Van Gogh".It was a wonderful learning experience for the kids about having a handicap. They learned a wonderful lesson and loved that lil mama (she was then called Mrs. Van Gogh) when she popped out 16 babies all healthy and well! LOL! It was a sweet time in our lives. I use to pray and ask God if I was wrong for providing better housing for those hamsters than my own phamily had! HaHa! Apparently he preferred us helping them as we continued for several more years and they lived the high life in fancy two story hamster condos! HAHA!
