Slippy, Slidey all the way to Store, Safely (part 2)

Yes, we were following 'trouble' and also the two cars that were already behind him. 'Trouble' was in a 2 wheel drive truck and was going so slow that he had NO momentum for driving up hilly roads.

My husband who is normally logical wouldn't listen to my 'encouragement' to take another route to avoid 'trouble'.

"It's not YOUR driving I'm concerned about." I reassured him, "It's the other drivers who don't know how to drive in it."

"We'll be fine"

"You say that, then someone is going to side-swipe us and you'll turn into a monster when someone bashes into your car." my nagging mouth replied.

I hushed myself. "Who have I become?", I pondered.

As 'trouble' attempted a hill, he began to slide back into the truck behind him (who was following WAY too close for conditions). 'Trouble' kept spinning and sliding, trying to make it up the hill without momentum or traction. Traffic stopped while we hung back in safety.

"Turn around and go the other way!" I firmly suggested.

He did. He turned around and went back the way we came..until...UNTIL he saw a truck pass us and then pass the line of cars.

Know what my husband did? He turned BACK around. Oh, YES HE DID! If that truck could do it, HE could, he said.

I...kid...you...not.

I tell my daughter my husband was about to get cursed out. So I said..."Blankety, blank, blank, curse, curse, CUSS!" Those EXACT words because I don't curse. ;-) She laughed at me.

We approached 'trouble' and the cars behind him that were starting to angle their wheels toward the passing lane...the lane my husband was now traveling down.

I don't want to go on too long so I'm putting this in parts. Final post tomorrow... ;-)
