I am in awe at the great gifts God gives us in our animals. Most of the time, we humans take care of them but sometimes, our animals 'take care' of us.
We hear stories about how dogs have the ability to detect oncoming seizures or even can detect cancer. These miraculous abilities are not confined to trained therapy dogs, but even 'regular' dogs can show a special gift of detecting that something isn't 'right' with their humans.
I have noticed Melody becoming extremely clingy to me over the last 2-3 weeks. I had dismissed it as her being thankful for the treats or little walk I took her on. I now believe I was wrong. She has begun to cry for me. She clings to me like Velcro. She follows me to every room and when I sit, she is by my side. In fact, she is in my lap now as I type.
When I came home from the doctor yesterday she cried and cried at my return, something I've never heard her do. She senses something is different. She loves me. What a wonderful gift she is. (They all are.) I asked my husband to snap a picture of her being my nurse. Look at those eyes! She cares.

Melody loves her Mommie...and I can tell that her Mommie loves Melody.
I visited your beliefs section of your blog again. I had been there before, but wanted to read them again. What a wise woman you are.
And I'm so honored to be your Sister in Christ.
Love you,
Jackie
I really believe our pets have the ability to sense these things.
I will continue to remember you in my prayers!
~hugs
I am still praying for you Parsley. Hooray for Melody! You already know I am a dog fanatic!!
Fur babies are the best! They help you get through things, in their own little way ☺ Thanks for posting about Oscillococcinum, it's helping me manage the flu.
Melody is special as you are special. I am praying that you are well!
TLC you need and lots of it and Melody knows. Lovely. Our thoughts and best wishes are winging their way across the pond Parsley.
Take it easy and let nurse Melody work her magic.
Have a terrific Tuesday.
Best wishes Molly
I hope you are well too Parsley. And I do believe she loves you and is trying to comfort you - she is so cute and sweet. And she thinks you are too. sandie
Awwwww!!! I agree, normal dogs do "know". Buddy clings to me when I'm sick and doesn't leave my side. You rescued Melody, she wants to do the same to you!
There is truly nothing like the companionship of a dog. Personally my dog is the first name I call when I get home in the evening times. Just pure love! How could you ask for anything more! I hope you're feeling better soon Parsley!
What a precious nurse.
God always takes care of us.
Woolie Hugs & Prayers

Hello Parsley
She is gorgeous and yes, those huge eyes are full of love for you.
Animals are so very special.
So sweet, and so true. Coco is my nurse, and a very good one.
They are a blessing, a home is just not a home without a beloved pet...Love them so, Francine.
Awww! With her as your nurse, you will be perfect in no time!!!
Aww, that is so sweet. They know more than we think. She loves you.
P.S. you should check out my GYB giveaway post on Feb 1......just sayin ;)
Just can't do without those four legged nurses, they do their job so well!
Sending prayers & hugs your way.
They do know and love us so much. The best companion and friend you can have.
You are in my prayers.
What a sweet angel she is. Keeping you in my thoughts and prayers.
She is a sweetie, I hope you are getting better each and every day. xxx
Parsley,
I believe this too. Animals have a built in sense of empathy and sympathy as well as healing powers. Whenever I am not well, or upset, the animals all contribute their unique gifts to make me well again. You and Melody warm my heart on this cold winter day.
Your Friend,
Deborah
Deena,
I am sorry to hear you haven't been feeling well. I will keep you in my daily prayers that you hear something soon.
What a big sweetie Melody is...Melody remembers you finding her and taking her in and watching over her. Melody is now watching over you. Animals are the best family one can ever have.
(((hugs)))
Hi Deena, Melody is so precious, how blessed we are to have our fur babies! Hope you're feeling better! Thanks for the visit, you made my day!
Too precious. I believe dogs totally understand us in an intuitive way. I know my son's beagle seems to sense when I'm sad or sick. He just sorta gets extra-close and cuddly. I thank God for the gift of my *grand-beagle* all the time. He teaches me so much, especially about God's unconditional love.
Hope you're feeling better...
GOD BLESS!
I hope whatever she sensed has been cured or has gone away.
The unabashed and unquestioning love of a pet is a treasure - I wish humans could do it (more?)
