Yea for Today!

My daughter and I joined in a 5K fundraiser for our local animal shelter. I walked. She ran/walked.

Notice how excited I am and how my girl thinks I'm nuts? Well, 6 months ago I wasn't able to walk in my own house without being breathless due to a heart rate issue. With meds, God, and supportive friends and family, I am able to do things I haven't EVER done.

I didn't 'win' the race walking but in a way I DID win. I finished. So very, VERY thankful for a good day!

Yeaaaa! You go girl! That is so awesome! Both of were doing something wonderful for a great cause and knowing you are getting healthier each day is awesome! My hubby takes heart meds and recently we were informed by ins. that they would no longer cover his current meds! Ugh! So back to the doctor, back to praying and hope they can come up with something to help him feel stronger. He was so tired and aggravated before this medication! You two are cute as can be!

This is beyond exciting!! I'm so proud of you, and so grateful for the God-given strength that allowed you to do the run in the first place.

I know how you've struggled - and what a thrill to be able to do this!

In my opinion, YOU WON!

GOD BLESS!
