Whirlwind Week

We just got back from two days driving, one day at a funeral service, and two days driving back home. What a whirlwind! I am glad though that we got to celebrate our Uncle's life and his graduation from here to Heaven. Neat that 'Somewhere Over the Rainbow' was a part of the service and a rainbow followed us home.

I got a bit of stitching done during the long quiet drive while my mind was heavy and hope to post soon.

For now, I am just going to pet the dogs who missed us terribly, read your blog posts, and have a much needed, and much missed, cuppa hot tea.

Petting the dogs will be soothing to your soul. They're a great balm. And that tea? We need to find you something that will help you transport tea! You should be able to have tea in the mornings, no matter where you are, LOL.

Sorry about the reason you had to go, but I am glad you got to celebrate.

Buddy has this certain... cuddability. He cannot help but be cuddable. You just look at him and go awww and reach out your arms and gather him up and cuddle. We've been having visiting nieces and nephews this week and they've all been doing that with Bud. I wish I could plant Bud in your lap for a while to help.

Welcome home Parsley.

I bet the dogs' happy greetings lifted your spirits - they have a way in - past the gloom and weariness.

Hugs.

What a beautiful rainbow at the perfect time.
Pets offer wonderful therapy. I can't wait until we settle down and can have one.

Where would we be without our dogs when our hearts are heavy and our minds are over filled with the here and now, the then and the past? Lovely post. Hope your tea works miricles as only a good cup of tea can.

I'm down visiting Marty, my grand-beagle. I've got to tell you, I've had the best sleeps I've had in a month! He is just furry peace to my soul.

My condolences on the passing of your uncle. However, it is consoling to know that HE is having the BEST TIME EVER!!

GOD BLESS!

I am glad that you were able to celebrate the life of your loved one. My condolences on his passing.
To have the rainbow give you a hug on the way home must have been lovely.
I'm glad you are safely home and that your furry family members were glad to see you. That always brightens one's day....to know beyond any doubt that you were missed.
Hugs to you,
J.
