Sunday Thoughts: Images

In Mark, chapter 12, Jesus was asked: Is it right to pay the tax to Caesar or not?
But Jesus knew their hypocrisy. “Bring me a denarius and let me look at it.” They brought the coin, and he asked them, “Whose image is this? And whose inscription?”

“Caesar’s,” they replied. Then Jesus said to them, “Give back to Caesar what is Caesar’s and to God what is God's."

The question for each of us is, "Whose image is on me?"

I want and I try to live in Christ's image. I want others to see that in me.

Jesus probably knew what would become of the "Roman Empire" shortly afterwards, when it "burned" and "failed" when those tax dollars were misused and largely wasted.

Who's image is on me? My folks for one - and some dear family friends that were (and are) inspiring role models (in their own ways).
