Zombie Snake

Hello Blog Buddies!! I haven't forgotten you all. Reading and running...or in my case studying. Finals and big testing coming soon for EMT! I wanted to update the blog and tell you how much I miss you all. I have been added on facebook by many of you and that's been awesome. Happy to connect with you all there...just ask :-) I'm 'DogSitter'.

Class has been going great! I've been asked by my instructor to join him teaching some 'team building' classes and to take an instructor class to teach EMT related classes in the future. (I better pass my exams and not disappoint, huh!?) I've also added a couple of elderly care clients to my list of jobs on an 'as needed' basis. It's already been a real blessing to spend time with these people.

All that to say, I see God doing great things and I'm in awe how perfectly he has directed each step. Soon, I will be through with books and will allow myself some much needed stitching time. I plan on having some excitement going on here in the blog too, so stay tuned. ;-)

Onto snakes...

We live in a rural area but keep our lawn short. Still, wild critters come our way. Friday night, we were all outside and my BAREFOOT daughter suddenly screamed. SNAKE! She almost stepped on it! EEK! Her Dad ran to get a shovel...

I always cringe killing anything, even if it's a SNAKE. I can recognize vipers and this wasn't one. Still, my husband's dislike for them overrides my 'protect nature' instincts and he whacked it.

The very next night it happened again. She found a snake in the flower bed next to the house. (She was barefoot again too.) The shovel came out again.

I have to say this is even creeping ME out. Two is TOO many. And you know what...these snakes were HUGE! I joked that the second snake was likely the first one coming back as a ZOMBIE. I also told my daughter to wear shoes and to stop finding trouble. Ha!

Hugs and happy week to you all!

Ewww, after the first time I would never go barefoot again. That is a big snake. (Shivers)
Now I'm going to find you in Facebook ;)

That snake is very frightening looking. I do not like snakes or spiders.

Good luck and best wishes on your upcoming tests! I think it is awesome that you have been asked to do some teaching with your instructor! Go Parsley!

There seems to be an abundance of snakes this season. We have already killed 2 copperheads around the homestead.

Enjoy the rest of your weekend!

Thank God for man and shovel. We are so lucky to have only the adder over here. Good luck with the tests.
Have a great memorial day and a marvellous Monday.
Best wishes Molly

I don't even like miniature snakes (worms). LOL I'm with your husband. The only good snake is a dead one.
Good luck with the testing. I know you'll do great.

We get snakes up here where we live, too. Mostly rattlesnakes. My hubby, however, is a *catch and release* kind of guy. So he wrangles them, and captures them with his snake noose. Then he puts them in a special box and drives them out of town.

However, I am like your husband. I'd rather enjoy snakes at the zoo!

I suspect your instructor knows you are going to pass, and with flying colors at that!

*now to compose a version of the Little Bunny Foo Foo song replacing mice with snakes...*
