Dear Bloggy

Dear Bloggy,

What happened to everyone here in blogland? I see some have not blogged for months! I also see some blogs have stopped following me but I still follow them. What should I do?

Dear Confused,

I get an occasional reminder that some on my reading list do not have 'feeds' anymore. Maybe it is time for both of us to go line by line and DELETE inactive blogs to make room for new ones.

I know it is hurtful when you feel someone stops 'following' your blog, especially when you still follow and comment on theirs. If you have been a loyal follower and they haven't reciprocated, I suggest doing the same thing as above, DELETE, unless you want to read along for the content rather than the connection.

Keep blogging! It is a great creative outlet as well as a place to journal your thoughts.

Dear Labby,

I've got Dad wrapped around my paw.  In fact, I can actually control his thinking!  All I have to do is look at him with my big brown puppydog eyes and he gives me anything.  The other night, while him and mom were having dinner, I looked up at him lovingly and he gave me some of his steak!   I follow Dad to the kitchen and when he looks down at me, he says what I'm thinking and wanting and then gives it to me.  It's amazing!

But Mom isn't so easy.  I give her my best puppydog look and she just pats my head.  I wag my tail and give Mom a big smile, but instead of sharing her dinner with me, she tells me no.  I lay my head on her lap and give her the sad look so she'll let me on the furniture, but she scratches behind my ears.

I know my Mom loves me as much as I love her, so why doesn't she give me anything and everything I want?

Labby, maybe you could give me some advice on how to wrap my Mom around my paw cuz I'm pretty sure you have your mom wrapped around your paw!

Dottie Dog,

This isn't an easy case. We have a softie Dad and a hard Mom too! In the past, we've had luck pretending to not be hungry for our kibbles. We trick Mom into thinking something is wrong with us and eventually she offers some boiled chicken or bites of their food.

Some humans just don't know it's unfair to have to eat the same thing every day. What we wouldn't give for an entire CHEESEBURGER.

Dear Labby,
Why oh why does the grandpuppy insist upon eating the disgusting clumps of grass that fall off the lawn mower blades???  Unbeknownst to me, she'd eaten her fill, then came indoors and ate her delicious grain-free doggy food with a drizzle of organic free-range chicken broth - and threw it all up on the carpet. Ewwww. Is there a way, short of keeping her indoors (which I won't do) to keep her from eating that stuff???

Dear 'Totally Puked Out',
Not all 'Iron Chefs' have iron stomachs. Your grandpuppy was obviously trying to cook up some 'secret ingredients' but did not succeed in a winning dish. I suggest cooking lessons from 'Mario Paw-tail-i' or 'Bobby Fillet'.

Dear Labby,
Why does my grandma expect me not to throw up my dog food dinner on the carpet when I've just eaten a delicious appetizer of clumps of grass that fell off the lawn mower???   I don't get these delicious meals in the Big City where I'm from. They're such a treat!

Dear 'Queasy',
What human grandmas don't know, won't hurt them. Next time eat your organic 'parsley' and cook it up with your other ingredients but take your finished product outside. Then...you can eat it again!

Much like any project, you reap what you sow. Meaning, if you visit and comment, THEY will visit and comment. It's a two way street.

Don't feel 'sad and lonely' because comments are not left. People may read and run because they are busy. If you feel you aren't really connecting with a particular blogger, step back and find other bloggers you CAN connect with. Just keep in mind that a blog connection will be limited to the amount of time bloggers can spare.
